Bruegger’s Bagels has introduced a new summer menu with new flavors that are at once bold, spicy, sweet and savory.
Executive Chef Philip Smith added completely new flavors and ingredients to the menu this season, reflecting the bagel bakery’s commitment to menu items that are flavorful and on trend while staying true to what keeps guests coming back every day, according to a press release.
The Sriracha Egg Sandwich (pictured at top) is Bruegger’s Bagels’ first new egg sandwich featuring sriracha sauce. The spicy new sandwich is available all day and is available on any of the company’s 15-plus varieties of bagels with egg, sausage, cheddar cheese, fresh red peppers and a kick of sriracha sauce. The sriracha sauce also is available on other menu items by request.
The bakery is also mixing up its bagel varieties with the unique Morning Glory Bagel, a burst of sweet flavors. The newest bagel flavor features apple butter folded into the simple bagel dough, along with shredded carrots, raisins, sunflower seeds and cinnamon. For a taste evocative of a traditional Morning Glory muffin, Smith suggests topping this bagel with Bruegger’s Bagel’s plain cream cheese.
The company also has two new salads and complementary dressings. The Blue Apple Salad, made on a bed of spring lettuce, is served with Bruegger’s Bagels new Champagne Vinaigrette dressing, which complements the sweet combination of chicken, dried cranberries, sliced almonds and diced apples, topped with blue cheese crumbles, Bruegger’s says.
Guests who want something more savory can choose the Chicken Almond Salad, tossed with diced chicken, almonds, cucumber, Asiago cheese and chopped red bell pepper, a new addition to the bakery chain’s list of fresh ingredients. The salad will be topped with a new Tangy Olive Oil dressing made with olive oil, feta cheese and red wine.
The limited-time offerings are available through Sept. 10.
